Cypriot Director and Filmmaker, Alexander Machlouzarides-Shalit was born in New York in 1996 and moved to Cyprus in 2006. He completed a BA (Hons) Degree in Film Studies at Falmouth University, and an MA in Directing at MetFilmSchool London. He is a Freelance Director of Commercials, Music Videos, Documentaries etc.

He has won multiple international awards for previous short films. Most notably, "20 Euros”, “The Morning After", "Leonidas and the Fish" and "In the Mood for Food". He also represented Cyprus at the Young Lions Cannes competition in Film in 2025.
